STEM Camp OUT

Campers will explore the scientific method and engineering design while getting the full overnight camping experience!

Ages 8-15  Friday August 4th, 12:30pm  - Saturday August 5th, 12:00pm

 

 

 

STEM Camp
Campers will explore the scientific method and engineering design through hands-on activities and experiments in several areas. They will learn about the environment, technology, and enjoy many crafts and games. There will be fun night projects with emphasis on Science and engineering.

Out
Campers will get the full overnight camping experience, while being in a safe fenced secured environment. We will provide tents and sleeping bags and will sit by the fire sing songs as we roast hot dogs and make s'mores! We will also explore Red Springs to learn the history of key places like the Ye Ole Spring and how Red Springs its name. Campers will also a chance to try their hand at fishing! As a way of letting the campers experience the joy of giving back to the community by enchancing the beauty of a local citizens yard.

1:30p - 1:55p           Opening Activities

                                     -Introduction of Staff and Campers
                                    
-Assign groups for camps

2:00p - 2:55p           Camp site setup

 -Pitch tents and assign camping sites
             -Issue sleeping bags, snacks, etc.

3:00p- 4:55p           Break Out Sessions activities

-Tie Dye Shirts
- Arts and Crafts
-Team building activities
-Make fishing poles

5:00p - 8:30p         Tour De Red Springs

                                                                       

8:30pm - 9:10p      Camp site night Preparation

9:15p-11:55pm      Camp Fire & STEM Night Activities (sleep optional)

 -S'mores and hot dogs over the camp fire
             -STEM Experiments
             -Glow bowling


Saturday

12:00am                 Movie at Midnight Under the Stars (sleep optional)

2:00a - 6:30a          Lights Out

7:00a - 7:25a          Breakfast

7:30a - 11:00a        Morning break-out sessions

  -Fishing ( or feeding fish :) )

                                      -Trades of the Town (Tour of RS businesses)

                                      -Seeds of good deeds (Planting Flowers for a Citizen)

11:00a - 12:00p      Cleanup and Presentation to Parents
